Dedicating a child acknowledges that the child is ultimately God’s child and that the child is a gift from God. Parents present their child before God and His people (the church) asking for grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities as Parents. Parents also come praying that their child might one day trust Jesus Christ as Savior.
